About Us

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."  Hebrews 4:16

Mercy and Grace Church was founded in April 4, 2013 by the congregation of Seattle Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Alex Lee to establish a biblical, missional, and gospel-centered church in the greater area of Bellevue, WA. We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, infallible, and authoritative word to us.

At the focal point of our church is the gospel — that Jesus Christ died and was raised so that sinners would be reconciled to God.
The gospel is our passion and motivation in our church’s worship, small groups, and mission outreach. We believe in justification by faith alone.
We are committed to pursue all the fullness of God with use of his spiritual gifts in the life of the church.
We believe that local churches are to be the primary means of advancing the Great Commission, in addition to being the context where all believers are to grow in holiness, be equipped for service, and bear witness to the saving grace of God.

Our mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and make disciples who love God and others (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 5:18; Mark 12:28-31).
We are a church owned by Christ, based in Scripture, and led by the Holy Spirit.

The focus of our ministries is gospel preaching focused on the message of the cross and equipping God's people for service through Bible studies and small groups, corporate worship before our Triune God expressed in jubilant joy and passion in holiness, proclaiming the gospel message and spreading the love of Christ to the communities here at home and to the nations through evangelism and domestic and international mission opportunities, handing down the faith and sharing the vision and biblical worldview of God's kingdom with the next generation of God's people through partnership and nurturing, and praying for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven through personal and corporate prayers in the life of the church.
